About this place
Set along a quiet street in Shibamata, Togetsu is a neighborhood soba shop distinguished by its robust dashi stock and deeply flavored dipping broth. A simple order of mori soba lets the crisp, sharp tsuyu highlight the smooth glide and clean bite of the cold buckwheat noodles. For hot bowls, choices like niku nanban—filled with generous cuts of pleasantly tender meat—and fragrant curry nanban bring steady, comforting warmth.
Seasonal items such as fresh yuba tempura zaru and chilled anago tempura soba appear alongside simmering hot-pot styles, including miso nikomi udon and bubbling nabeyaki udon topped with shrimp tempura and fish cakes. Reflecting the generous range of traditional town soba shops, the kitchen also turns out lighter ramen, gomoku wonton noodles, chukadon, and Japanese curry rice.
For a heartier meal, combination sets pair noodles with mini rice bowls, including mini conger eel tendon, mini shrimp tempura don, and tamagodon. With its calm and casual interior, the restaurant fits an everyday lunch just as naturally as an unhurried pause with a cold beer.
